Fabulous

I throw in a couple of bullion cubes in the water, and some extra fresh garlic with the mix - and once its done I add some diced tomatoes, fresh peppers and onions and some chopped parsley if I got it. Delicious red beans and rice in less than half an hour.

Awesome red beans and rice mix

This stuff is the best and so easy to make. I use 2 bags, and 1 lb of Royal Hot and Spicy sausage. I slice the sausage and then I quater the slices into 4 pieces, sausage in every bite.

More flavorful and kick than Zatarain's with about half the salt. We add a half pound of sausage or canned ham and dive in.

A little bit of home

I grew up in the old south, I use the red beans and rice mix several times a month. I take it with me when I go into remote areas. It is very easy to pack and quick to prepare. There is nothing like cooking over a yellow cedar fire in the rain forest of southeast alaska and the aroma of this delicious meal. Thank you,

Absolutely the best and easiest

We lived in the French Quarter and sampled all the restaurants. This is the best. Now we live in New England and order this regularly. It is also the easiest to prepare and consistently, reliably the same quality with every bag. We eat it weekly. It is our comfort food.

We keep trying others - especially after HEB took it off the shelves - but none compare. Zatarains comes close, but that is as good as it gets - nothing TRULY compares!! Now... where can I get it now that HEB (Kahee Foods is the distributor) quit stocking it?

Being a certified Cajun it is very hard to think of using a mix to cook with. My mind was changed the first time I used the Red Beans and Rice Mix. Never have I tasted anything that is as close to home cooking as these products are! We tried the Shrimp Creole tonight and was not disappointed. I did add a can of Rotel and a can of tomato paste since we like it "hot" around here. In one word it is AWESOME!

Good & spicy beans & rice

for a 'reconstitute & serve' dish, this is really good. I like the seasoning in this... spicy without being overbearing. Very flavorful. I like to put a couple hot links in it while it is cooking to add that flavor into it as well. Another thing that really brings out the flavor is to brown the butter before adding the water to boil.

Jammin' beans ans rice

Bought a bag of this while in Southern Mississippi after the hurricane. Decided to break it out for Mardi Gras, so we cooked it up. Man! Great spicy flaver (warm on the lips)and creamy texture (like it'd been simmering all day, ya know). Best I've ever had.
