I absolutely love the Shrimp Fry. It has just the right amount of seasonings that you can't duplicate from scratch. When I invite guests fried shrimp is number one on the request list. Living in Florida I found it readily available and always had it in stock. Living in Michigan it is difficult to find just like fresh shrimp. Most grocers stock the New Orlenas Fish Fry which is also fantastic. I'm delighted you have a web site store to order from.

My first time to fry fresh shrimp at home. The mix was easy to use. I battered the shrimp and froze the shrimp till the following evening and then fried them. Great!!!!! Very delicious.

Best fried shrimp

I use this to fry Walleye in Canada. Everyone counts on me to bring it on the trip. My wife doesn't eat fried foods but when I cook shrimp in this, they disappear when she is home. Still claims not to eat fried foods, must be a language issue....

The best shrimp batter!!!

I'm a Mississippi girl who moved to North Carolina after Hurricane Katrina and have had a hard time finding LA Shrimp Fry here in Fayetteville. Seafood is not a Fayetteville, NC specialty and I'm craving shrimp. Wal-Mart would carry it sporadically and I would pick up 1-2 bags of it when I saw it, but now I've looked at 5 different stores (3 different chains) for the past month with no success. So, I decided to look online today and am Soooo excited to see that I can buy it online. This is by far the best shrimp batter...and is GREEAAT for battering and making your own fried mushrooms!!!

Best i've had

I haven't actually had the chance to use this product (can't find it in this area); in fact, it was really an accident that I learned about it at all. We were travelling through Louisiana, and stopped off the highway at a little hotel restaurant to grab a bite to eat. The shrimp and catfish were just amazing! My hubby, who NEVER likes anything fried, couldn't even get enough of it. We travel the U.S. quite extensively, so we know a thing or two about various cuisines. I asked the waitress if they sold their mix, and she replied that no, they didn't. I HAD to know the secret, so she asked her chef how I could duplicate this at home. I was afraid it would be a concoction I'd never even want to attempt. When she returned from the kitchen and said it was LA Shrimp Fry, we were astounded. I didn't even have to worry about duplicating it--the recipe had already been duplicated and was just waiting for my purchase. The crust was so light, yet crunchy without being heavy. The taste was great--just enough bay leaf flavor to really perk up the shrimp flavor. And when the used it on the catfish, it somehow took on a consistency that was just right for it, too. Corn meal, no more. As soon as I can find the shrimp fry around here, it will be nothing but LOUISIANA SHRIMP FRY!

Louisiana cooking at it's best

I thought it was so easy to use and the shrimp tasted better than some of the best cajun places to eat around here. I did add a little red pepper and some hot sauce to the shrimp before I batterd them, but we like our food spicy around here. The batter is actually seasoned enough on it's own. I am originally from Plaquemines Parish and grew up catching shrimp right out of the gulf. They remind me of my childhood at the camp when my Maw Maw would cook them straight off the boat. This product is worth using on those precious shrimp. Mmm Mmm

Best shrimp fry ever!

When frying shrimp this is the best I've ever used! Sure there are other fish fry breading brands, etc that mention you can use their fish fry for shrimp but this Louisiana brand "Shrimp Fry" is formulated just for shrimp and the batter coats & sticks to the shrimp much better... there's no comparison! Also it doesn't "clump up" like other brands I've used for frying shrimp.

Best shrimp fry ever made

I love this product and use it about 4 or 5 times a month. It's so simple and easy to use that it takes the mess out of frying shrimp. I would rate this a 5, but the amount of sodium in this product is just a little bit too high for my personal taste. Try it anyway, you'll enjoy it!
